Nicola Galloway is an award-winning food writer and author of four cookbooks, including her most recent and highly acclaimed, Homegrown Kitchen. She is the food editor for Stuff.co.nz website and publications, and writes a monthly recipe column for NZ Gardener Magazine.
Nicola is an avid sourdough baker, fermenter and preserver, and regularly teaches cooking workshops on these subjects around New Zealand. She lives in Nelson with her family on a suburban quarter acre with over 25 fruit and nut trees, vegetable gardens and free range chooks. Her abundant garden provides inspiration for the recipes she shares.
Nicola will be teaching us all about sourdough and how to keep that precious starter at its absolute peak by using it for yummy crumpets plus some incredible topping ideas including caramel apples and berry & prune jam. Nicola's food focus is on using healthful pantry staples with an emphasis on eating seasonal using local produce.
