It’s hard to beat a great dip/chip combo. Or a dip/vege stick combo for that matter!
At least that has always been a dearly held view at Stansie HQ. Herbs make the best dips, but so often the only herb mixes we could find had added sugar - or other ingredients that didn’t make sense. So, we created our own combos, tested them on family and friends and here we are – ready to share with you.
We are excited to be launching Stansie at the Auckland Food Show. Please come by our stand in Hall 1 – CA9. We'd love to see you.
Our dip mixes don’t have to be just for dips. A tablespoon in breadcrumbs makes for a great coating for chicken, pork, or lamb and for those who favour a vegan diet, you can add a little Stansie mix when stir frying vegetables.
Be sure to ask us about easy ways to bring a little flavour into your next meal when you visit us at the Show. See you soon!
Brave Soldier is a little spicy, but not too much, and with the bold herb basil holding steady, then this delightful dip can take command of a savoury snack. A generous helping of chilli flakes, dashes of paprika, onion and black pepper ensures the troops will fall into line. Mix 1 tablespoon of 'brave soldier' with 3/4 cup of cream cheese and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. Chill for at least an hour in the fridge before serving.
Capturing the exuberance of life, 'Hop and Skip' is not for the faint hearted. And this should not surprise when you reason that it features mint, named after the Ancient Greek nymph Minthe, who had the misfortune to be ground underfoot by goddess Persephone after husband Hades took a fancy to her. Mint needs strong companions, which is why it is paired with tarragon and cumin with a little black pepper thrown in for good measure. Mix a tablespoon of 'Hop and skip' with a cup of plain yoghurt for a conversational dip. Chill for at least 1 hour in the fridge before serving.
As true as the earth in which we grow the good herb rosemary, the 'Remember me' mix will help keep you alert for the good times. Starring alongside basil and parsley with supporting roles played by onion and black pepper, 'Remember me' is for those who remain true. Mix 1 tablespoon with 3/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. Chill for at least 1 hour in the fridge before serving.
Wise One is simple and delicious, quiet and unassuming. As subtle as its hero herb sage, a medicinal herb from Roman times. Partnered with oregano, onion and pepper. Mix 1 tablespoon of 'wise one' with 3/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of mayonnaise. For beautiful butter mix 1 tablespoon of 'wise one' with 50grams of butter. Chill at least one hour in the fridge before serving.
