Since 1920, the Auckland City Mission has been helping people in desperate need by providing services that address immediate shortages, as well as tools to help people break free from the poverty cycle.
This involves offering efficient, practical assistance with items like food, blankets and furniture, but it also means working with people to find solutions to the larger issues they face, ensuring a more positive future for individuals and their families.
In the last financial year, the Auckland City Mission:
* Distributed $2.067 million-worth of food via our Foodlink Community Food Programme and Crisis Care
* Housed 166 homeless people
* Conducted 10,239 consultations at our medical centre
More than 80% of the Mission's income comes from donations, so it's no exaggeration to say we could not help Aucklanders in desperate need without the generosity of our fantastic supporters. We look forward to seeing you at this year's Food Show.
