Ingredients

  • 75g butter
  • 7 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½–¾ green or savoy cabbage, thinly sliced
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method

Place a large frying pan over a medium-low heat. Add butter and when it’s foamy, add garlic and cook, stirring, for a few minutes until softened and fragrant.

Place cabbage in pan along with ⅓ cup water. Turn heat up to medium-high so the water simmers rapidly. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring every now and then, until cabbage is bright and tender but not mushy — it should still have some bite to it. Season to taste then serve.
