Rex is chef and co-owner of the iconic Boulcott St Bistro in Wellington and a director of Citron culinary consultancy group. He also owned the well known degustation restaurant Citron. His many awards include New Zealand chef of the year, Dominion Post Chef of the Year and the Wellington Felix & Capital Award for Outstanding Chef. Rex is a Beef & Lamb Ambassador (six years running, a record!) and is currently a Platinum Ambassador.
Rex regularly appears at culinary shows and makes guest chef appearances here and abroad. He has appeared as a guest judge on Masterchef NZ, was a host on TV3 and Food channel's "The Great Food Escape" series, and he has been a consultant chef to Air New Zealand's Business Class menus for the past 9 years.
Having been in the industry 26 years, Rex has worked in establishments such as Huka Lodge & London's Blakes Hotel.
