Barrys Bay Cheese has been making handcrafted cheese on Banks Peninsula since 1895. We take great care in the art of cheese making and continue to do so using the traditional methods brought to New Zealand by the early English settlers. Our unwavering commitment to quality begins with our locally sourced milk from a single farm on Banks Peninsula. Barrys Bay's collection of cheeses includes our real English Cheddars, Havartis and the ever popular Peninsula Blue. We also make a range of Dutch styles and of particular note is our Aged Gouda which was awarded Champion of Champions at the 2014 NZ Champions of Cheese Awards.
