Barrys Bay Cheese has been making handcrafted cheese on Banks Peninsula since 1895, so this year we are celebrating our 125th Anniversary! We take great care in the art of cheese making and continue to do so using the traditional methods brought to New Zealand by the early English settlers. Our unwavering commitment to quality begins with our locally sourced milk from a single farm on Banks Peninsula. Barrys Bay's collection of cheeses includes our real English Cheddars, Havartis and the ever popular Peninsula Blue. We also make a range of European styles such as Gouda, Maasdam, Edam and Gruyere, and of particular note is our new sheep milk Pecorino! Come and visit us for a tasting at the Food Show!
