An exciting line-up of top local talent will be featured throughout the weekend, including award-winning chef and owner of Dragon’s Den Andrew Brown, award-winning restaurateur Jonny Schwass, Jo Mullen and the Sugar Baby Cakery team, along with Masterchef finalist Vanessa Baxter and Le Panier’s highly talented pastry chef Gilles Thebault.

Fun and Flare with the team from Sugar Baby Cakery – Jo Mullen and her team

Jo Mullen of Sugar Baby Cakery and her team will be demonstrating how to decorate cakes with Sugar Baby flare.  A demonstration that promises to be chock-full of fun, Jo’s team will be delighting show goers with their fondant ruffles, stripes and flower decorations created using the latest innovation from Kenwood – the Chef Sense kitchen machine.

Join Kitchens Without Boundaries and MasterChef finalist Vanessa Baxter on a gastronomic journey as she demonstrates fresh, simple Asian inspired meals the whole family can enjoy.  Vanessa, who is also ambassador of Ronald McDonald House, will be creating delicious Vietnamese spring rolls and spicy fish steamed in banana leaf on the Kenwood stand while showcasing the latest innovations from Kenwood.

French Pastry Classics with Gilles Thebault of Le Panier Boulangerie

Owner of Christchurch’s Le Panier Boulangerie and former pastry chef under the infamous Gordon Ramsay, Gilles Thebault, shows you how simple it can be with Kenwood as part of your armory. From the iconic lemon tart, a perennial Parisian favourite, to the classic Millefeuille pastry, prepare to feast the senses the French way.

Italian Classics with award-winning restaurateur Jonny Schwass of Harlequin Public House

Join local favourite Jonny Schwass, award-winning restaurateur, chef and writer for Dish magazine, on a gastronomic journey to Italy.

Jonny will be sharing his no-nonsense approach to good quality home cooking that will draw family members to the dinner table in droves. Learn how to create Italian classics such as homemade tomato sauce and tortellini with pasta dough made from scratch with the use of one kitchen appliance.

You won't have to leave the comfort of your own home for good Italian fare again.
