Twenty years ago, Simon Gault, renowned Chef and Restaurateur, returned to New Zealand after working for extended periods in Europe. He quickly became frustrated by his inability to purchase the quality ingredients that were readily available during his travels.
From humble beginnings, Sous Chef was born and premium Italian and Spanish products were winging their way, not only into Simon's kitchens, but also into New Zealand's top restaurants.
Word rapidly spread and eager home cooks soon came calling. Gault's Deli was opened to meet this need, which enabled lovers of fine food to enjoy restaurant quality ingredients in their own homes.
Simon Gault is still as passionate as ever and continues to bring the world's best food to your table. He is regularly discovering new and exciting products from off shore and New Zealand to add to the Gault's Deli range.
