CHOYA ~a traditional Japanese fruit liqueur~
It possesses a balance of sweetness, acidity, and exotic fragrances that emanate from the ume fruit pit.
In ancient Japan, ume had been used as a health supplement by the Japanese. This liqueur called Umeshu is produced by steeping ume in cane spirits with sugar to extract ume’s unique properties. CHOYA is 100% all natural. Its mild taste and elegant aroma are extracted through a slow aging process.
CHOYA Classic is our most authentic style of Umeshu in the world which has been same style as homemade liqueur. CHOYA Shiso is based on Classic, but we add Japanese herb called Shiso. Shiso has unique aroma and red color. The CHOYA Aged 3 Years is CHOYA’s premium range. We chooses the best three batches aged for at least 3 years to create this special award – winning blend. World’s first gold medal in the Ume Liqueur Category at International Spirits Challenge 2016 & 2017.
