Sheep milk has a sweet, creamy and nutty taste that humans have been drinking it for thousands of years. New Zealand sheep milk is not only unique compared with its European equivalent, but unique to the regions of Southland, Taupo and the Wairarapa from which it is currently produced. This gives national and regional distinctiveness to the luxury ice-creams, yoghurts, cheeses, health supplements, and infant formulas that New Zealand producers are shipping to customers here and overseas. The Sheep Milk NZ stand at the Auckland Food Show will feature beautiful cheeses from all NZ's producers including Kingsmeade Artisan Cheeses, Blue River, and Thorvald. It will also feature experimental cheeses and whey drink products developed by Massey University food technology students and during Thursday and Friday of the show, Sheep Milk NZ brand ambassor and current NZ Chef of the Nation Marc Soper will be preparing a special range of dishes using NZ's superb sheep milk cheeses.
