Chef and product creator, Chris Doutre, arrived in Australia in 1980, bringing his impressive knowledge, talent and long association with North Indian cuisine. He soon established a popular restaurant in Brisbane which he owned and operated for many years.

In 2004 he formed a partnership with Flavour Makers Pty Ltd, a young and successful food manufacturing business. From this partnership, Passage Foods was born.

The vision for Passage Foods has since grown beyond Indian cuisine. Passage Foods are constantly working with specialist chefs to create a range of truly authentic, high quality and convenient international cooking sauces for the retail market.

Passage Foods is represented in New Zealand by House of Fine Foods. House of Fine Foods provide a comprehensive service with full brand representation across marketing, merchandising, in-store representation and distribution.
