Beer often gets a bad rap; however, this is largely down to misconceptions. Beer the Beautiful Truth is a campaign dedicated to smashing the myths associated with beer and helping consumers be more aware about what is in their favourite brew.
The campaign was launched by NZ Brewers Association, in partnership with leading NZ beer producers - Lion and DB.
In a New Zealand first, Lion and DB have started voluntarily adding nutritional information panels to the back of bottles, cans and packaging, helping consumers be more informed about what they are drinking.
A recent survey showed 75% of people think nutritional content should be on alcohol packaging, with nutrition panels especially important to women, with 83% in favour of labelling.
