Using Belgian chocolate, Giles Chocolatier makes the traditional, the novel and the unusual - including bacon chocolate, and their latest creation - a collaboration with Taranaki’s Juno Gin. Owner, and Chocolatier, Gavin Giles claims the gin truffles are some of the best he’s ever made. And he should know. Born and raised in New Plymouth, Gavin trained as a chef in the Royal New Zealand Air Force and the Intercontinental Hotel in Wellington before moving to London. There he refined his knowledge at Guilds of London and Westminster College, working under the mentorship of top pastry chefs in high end hotels and patisseries in London and France. Returning home, Gavin is focusing on his passion - bringing artisan chocolate to the people of Taranaki and New Zealand.
