Nippon Tea Limited

Experience brewing a quail-tea Japanese cuppa!
Nippon Tea is introducing authentic Japanese Teas to New Zealand. Japanese teas such as Japanese Green Tea is very rare in New Zealand with 99% of green tea products available sourced from other countries. With this in mind, Chiwako Hoshina, a JAPAN TEA Goodwill Ambassador and the only certified Japanese Tea Adviser in New Zealand, began Nippon Tea with a mission to introduce New Zealanders to the real authentic taste of Japanese teas and to educate you all about the health benefits and the culture behind Japanese teas. Imported directly from Tokyo Japan, our teas are different to any currently on the market.

We will be selling a range of Japanese Teas including green tea and matcha as well as offering tastings and demonstrating how to brew Japanese teas to get the most out of a cuppa.

Come and taste the difference.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Gyokuro: A refined shade-grown Japanese green tea with sweet and concentrated Umami flavour. The most luxurious tea in Japan. Sencha: Japan's most popular and beloved tea. It produces a rich, mellow textured tea, with a clean and very refreshing green aroma. Sencha Premium: A higher grade tea with a more delicate flavour profile. Matcha Genmaicha: An extremely deep and creamy green tea with extra colour and body from the Matcha. Sweet nutty and aromatic. A great Japanese tea for beginners. Houjicha: A roasted Japanese green tea with smoky aroma. It has a woody flavour that many coffee drinkers find appealing. Matcha: A very special tea produced only in Japan and made from specially prepared Tencha, whereby the leaves are stone milled according to specific, high standards.
