Top culinary talent and the latest innovations come together on the Kenwood stand.


There is something for everyone at the Kenwood stand at this year’s Food Show. Enjoy tasty delights and take away a host of culinary ideas, tips and tricks to apply at home.

An exciting line-up of top local talent will be featured throughout the weekend, including award-winning chefs Nic Watt and Eugene Hamilton, the talent behind Bluebells Cakery Karla Goodwin, best-selling cookbook author Natalie Oldfield, and Master Barista Ewan Kim.

Wisdom, humour and love with best-selling author Natalie Oldfield

Natalie Oldfield’s gran, Dulcie May taught her that it is the simple ingredients of humour, grace and love that take food from something to be consumed to something that delights. Natalie passes on the practical wisdom her gran taught her in a demonstration that showcases classics such as Fudge, Jam Rolls and Boston Buns made with love and a little help from Kenwood. 

Karla Goodwin of Bluebells Cakery creates works of art to delight any sweet tooth

All it takes is one look at Karla Goodwin’s creations to sweep you off your feet. Her exquisite treats look incredible and taste sensational. Indulge your eyes and your taste buds as Karla whips up mouthwatering delights on the Kenwood stand.

One might find themselves asking, what can you eat on gluten, dairy, sugar-free diet? The answer is a lot. In this demonstration, Megan May will share a few of her delicious and revolutionary raw and organic recipes, proving that food does exist beyond gluten, dairy and sugar.

Using Kenwood’s Multipro Classic Food Processor, May will create Tacos, Brownie and Energy Bites that are all raw, all organic and all good for you.

Latte art at its best with barista sensation Ewan Kim

With coffee as his canvas and, milk, his paintbrush, Ewan Kim creates latte masterpieces. Kim’s passion for coffee coupled with a creative flair for tantalising designs has earned him the reputation of being one of Auckland’s top baristas.

12:20pm-1:10pm

Celebrated chef restaurateur Nic Watt of MASU promises to take you back to the stone age in style and sophistication. This paleo inspired demonstration combines Watt’s passion for flavour and dedication to detail, but with a twist. In this modern age, man and machine meet to produce spectacular dishes, combining innovations from Kenwood with grassroots inspiration.

Join charismatic chef and restaurateur Eugene Hamilton as he unlocks a new world of possibilities with the Kenwood Cooking Chef. Eugene will revolutionise dishes that delight the tastebuds, but traditionally require great attention to detail. Learn to create French and Italian classics such as Crème Brulee and Prawn Risotto with the machine that mixes and cooks, giving the dishes you love the attention they need so you don’t have to.


French dessert classics with Sonia Petrowsky Haumonte of Patisserie Vaniye

Patisserie expert Sonia Haumonte takes you on a culinary journey in her demonstration of the famous French Saint-Honore Choux Pastry cake.  Armed with a Kenwood Chef Sense kitchen machine, Sonia will show you how to tackle one of the behemoths of pastry, creating this complex classic dessert before your very eyes.

Fresh and simple family meals with an Asian twist – Former Masterchef Finalist Vanessa Baxter
3:45pm-4:30pm

Join Kitchens Without Boundaries and Masterchef finalist Vanessa Baxter on a gastronomic journey as she demonstrates fresh, simple Asian inspired meals the whole family can enjoy. 

Vanessa, who is also ambassador of Ronald McDonald House, will be creating delicious Vietnamese spring rolls, dumplings and spicy fish steamed in banana leaf on the Kenwood stand while showcasing the latest innovations from Kenwood.
