The creation of an antipasto platter for two people using products in an innovative manner.
2.00:Hot Main Course, Presented Cold Sponsored by Akaroa Salmon
Competitors present two individual portions of the same salmon entree using Akaroa Salmon.Dished must be glazed.

A team comprised of two trainee chefs and a trainee waiter have 2 1/2 hours to prepare and serve five identical portions of soup, main course and dessert.
1:30 - 2:30: Lamb Entree Sponsored by Preston's Masters Butchers
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical entree course portions using lamb as the principle ingredient.
3:00 - 4:00: Pork Main Course Sponsored by Wellington Institute of Technology
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical main course portions using Pork as the principal ingredient.
4:30 - 5:30: Pacific Catch Sponsored by Wellington Institute of Technology
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical main course portions. The present dishes must include "food from the sea".

A new hospitality class to showcase two of New Zealand's finest cheeses.
2:00: Bed Making Magic Sponsored by Hospitality Standards Institute
Professional Room Attendants show their skills by stripping and making a bed in the fastest time whilst maintaining professional standards.
Competitors have 20 minutes to decorate a pavlova from ingredients supplied in a magic box.
