Competitors must present an antipasto platter for two people.

Competitors must present two indivdual portions of the same entrée of their choice.

10:30 - 1:00: Ian MacLennan Memorial Teams Event Sponsored by CFANZ, Nestlé Food Service and House of Knives
A team comprised of two trainee chefs and a trainee waiter have 2 1/2 hours to prepare and serve five identical portions of soup, main course and dessert.
1:30 - 2:30: Lamb Entrée Sponsored by Preston's Master Butchers
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical entrée course portions, using lamb as the principle ingredient.
3:00 - 4:00: Pork Main Course Sponsored by Wellington Institute of Technology
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical main course portions, using pork as the principal ingredient.
4:30 - 5:30: Pacific Catch Sponsored by NZCA Wellington Branch
Competitors must prepare and produce four identical main course portions. The presented dishes must include 'food from the sea'.

11:00: Wellington's Coffee Culture Barista Coffee Sponsored by Interislander
In 12 minutes, competitors must produce and present four espresso coffees, four lattés and four cappuccinos.
2:00 - 3:00: Kapiti Cheese and Wairarapa Wine Service Sponsored by Fonterra Brands
A new hospitality class to showcase two of New Zealand's finest cheeses.
2:00: Bed Making Magic Sponsored by HANZ
Professional room attendants show their skills by stripping and making a bed in the fastest time whilst maintaining professional standards.
Competitors have 20 minutes to decorate one large Cowell's Genuine Pavlova from the ingredients supplied in the magic box.

The search for Wellington's absolutely positively best craftsperson in the kitchen. A three-hour event involving the creation of a cold entrée, a hot main course and a hot dessert.
1.00 - 4:00: Silver Fern Farms 2009 National Finals – Hans Bueschkens Junior Chefs Challenge Sponsored by Burns and Ferrall Boot Camp
Competitors will have a staggered commencement time and will prepare and produce six individually plated portions.
LIVE HOSPITALITY EVENTS
1.00pm: Original Innovative Cocktail Collation Open Sponsored by Toops
Competitors will work on a clothed trestle table and will have five minutes to set up their mise en place.
1.30: The Flying Burrito Brothers Sponsored by Bar Tenders Magic Box With Flair
Competitors must produce two original cocktails, using the ingredients from the Magic Box and execute with flair.
