Govino

Just arrived in New Zealand is a revolutionary vessel: a shatterproof and stemless crystal-clear glass.GOVINO wine glasses, which can be used for any cold beverage, offer an elegant alternative to drinking from flimsy and milky plastic-stemmed glasses.
They feature a flavour-enhancing shape--but are crafted in lightweight, recyclable pharmaceutical- grade plastic with no nasty plastic odour.

Eating with your fingers? No problem. There's a handy thumb indentation so slippery hands can keep a grip.

GOVINO was originally created for wine tasting by Boyd Willat, a product designer from California, and Joseph Perulli, a former wine wholesaler who were looking for a "go anywhere" glass that maintained it's clarity, like crystal. And they're reusuable. GOVINO wine glasses were recently used for tasting and retail sale by Amisfield Wine Company at the Michael Hill NZ Open Golf Championships."We had great feedback from a lot of people, and were able to wash and reuse them at the end of the day. We just waste so much plastic", Debbie Zampieri, the Marketing and Sales Manager for Amisfield Wine said.

GOVINO are proudly sold in both NYC and SF Museum of Modern Art retail shops. Napa Valley vineyards brand the glass and include them with their wine tasting.

The glasses are dishwasher safe in the "fast" or "economic cycle" only, and were designed for commercial use at 70C for 1-2 minutes.
