Ruth Pretty

Leading New Zealand chef, caterer, food writer, author of five popular cook books and teacher at her well renowned cooking school. Ruth Pretty is known for fresh, delicious, imaginative New Zealand cuisine, whether it is served for an event in New Zealand or in an international setting.

Internationally, Ruth and her team managed the New Zealand Pavilion's VIP hospitality lounge at the World Expo in Japan 2005, presenting exquisite tastes of New Zealand to international dignitaries and invited guests. In 2006 and 2007 Ruth and her team provided VIP catering services for Emirates Team New Zealand participation at the America's Cup in Valencia, Spain.

Ruth and the team are currently providing catering at the World Expo in Shanghai, China. In the food show this year Ruth will demonstrate some of the recipes she is currently showcasing in Shanghai. Ruth will show you how to use the best New Zealand produce with fresh Chinese flavours in your own home.
