Charmaine Solomon is the woman whose Asian cookbooks have blazed a trail in the western world. She is the author of 31 cookbooks including The Complete Asian Cookbook which sells worldwide in four languages – English, Dutch, French and German.
Her Encyclopedia of Asian Food won the Silver Ladle in the World Food Media Awards and was nominated as one of the three best international cookbooks by the Julia Child Cookbook Awards in the United States. However, her most prized accolades are letters from users of her cookbooks, thanking her for recipes which never fail.
