The Masterclass Series

Learn the art of the perfect paella from Sabato as you taste Spanish wine and tapas, or master meat preparation with Dish Magazine Editor, Claire Aldous. Enjoy a Kapiti cheese tasting, or join a wine matching class with top chefs and Master Sommeliers from the New Zealand School of Food and Wine. Sweet tooth? The Kapiti Cheese Experience

If you love cheese as much as we do, come and enjoy an open, friendly tutored tasting where everyone is encouraged to taste, discuss and enjoy. Learn about the different types of cheese and take a journey through a variety of different styles - from creamy white mould, to richly pungent blue, to the aromatic washed rind. The class covers how to store and serve cheese to bring out the best flavours, plus some tips on matching cheese with food and wine - then, Kapiti will even provide a special gift to get you started at home.

Whittaker's Truffle Making Masterclass

Learn the tricks of the truffle trade with Whittaker's and the Cuddly Cook herself, Annabelle White. Truffle making is an art and in this small, intimate workshop Annabelle will demystify the process so you'll be a truffle master in a few simple steps. Learn how to create your own sumptuous truffles using quality, simple ingredients from the local supermarket - it'll pay off in no time. Plus, at the end of the class you'll receive an exclusive Whittaker's gift bag full of Whittaker's treats.

Vibrant, colourful and social - this is Spanish cuisine! Tapas and paella are flavoursome, delicious dishes, made to share. Learn how to use two very different beef cuts in a variety of delicious ways, plus get tips on knives, meat preparation and presentation. PLUS: Each guest will receive a goodie bag and tasting samples. A must-see for anyone who wants to learn more about meat and how best to cook it.
