Tandoori Prawns

Ingredients

  • 10 really big king prawns
  • First marinade
  • 1tbsp ginger/garlic paste - found in indian food shops
  • 1tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/8tsp yellow chilli powder
  • 1tbsp white wine vinegar
  • Second marinade
  • 100g thick Greek style yoghurt
  • 2tbsp cream
  • 1tsp salt
1/8 tsp yellow chilli powder
  • 1/2tsp green cardamom powder
  • 1tbsp ginger/garlic paste
  • 1tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2tsp garam masala
  • 1/2tsp yellow food colouring
 

Method

Remove prawn shells and back vein. Mix the ingredients for the first marinade together and marinate prawns in this for an hour.

Mix the ingredients for the second marinade together and pour the first marinade and prawns into it. Mix well and marinate for an hour.

Preheat the oven to 250°C. Thread prawns onto skewers or lay on a tray in the oven and cook for ten minutes.

Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
