Method
Serves 4
Place the eggs, milk, sugar and salt in a medium size bowl and
whisk until well combined.
Heat the butter in a large frying pan over a medium heat.
Dip 2 slices of the bread into the egg mixture until completely
coated and place in the frying pan. Sprinkle the top side of each
slice of bread with ¼ of the chopped chocolate.
Soak another 2
pieces of bread in the egg mixture and place on top of the
chocolate bread to form a sandwich. Press lightly with a spatula to
seal the edges.
Cook the 2 sandwiches for 3 minutes each side or until golden
brown. Remove from pan and repeat with remaining bread and
chocolate. Serve dusted with icing sugar if desired.
