The Village Press is New Zealand's largest supplier of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and associated products.
Our Olive groves are located amongst Hawke's Bay's vineyards, fruit orchards and rich agricultural land near the Village Press Olive Pressing facility.
The 30,000 olive trees, grown over 45 hectares are thriving in Hawke's Bay sunshine and free draining soil.
Our extra Virgin Olive Oil was rated the best by New Zealand Consumer Magazine and is also endorsed by well known chefs Peta Mathias, Al Brown & Ruth Pretty under their own brands.
The Village Press press their oils by individual cultivars eg Barnea, Picual, Frantoio, Manzanillo, Leccino & Koroneki.
Our Oils are unfiltered retaining the full flavour of the oil and nutritional qualities and are also additive free with no chemicals or artificial additives introduced during the pressing processes.
We also ensure that our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is priced realistically reflecting our economies of scale. We are fully integrated, being the grower, harvester, processor and packager of our product.
Air New Zealand use the Village Press Barnea Oil for its Business and Premier Economy class.
The Village Press also have a large range of infused oils Lime, Lemon, Garlic, Orange, Fennel and Garlic & Rosemary which are proving very popular.
We also have a range of Tapenades including our Olive & Lemon Pesto and our Harissa Tapenade.
The Village Press have also developed a Fundraising package which has proven popular with schools, charities and other fundraising ventures.
