Terry Lowe has been Head Chef at Black Barn Bistro Havelock
North since it's opening in 2003. With his dedicated team, he has
established an international reputation as a 'must visit' for
locals and visitors to Hawke's Bay.
He feels inspired to be working in a region where there is an
abundance of fresh produce and an amazing climate. Hawkes Bay is a
real food and wine destination with a serious base of local
businesses developing new and exciting products - from first
pressed oils to quality artisan goods.
As a chef he feels that you never stop learning and even if you
cook all of your life you only scratch the surface and for this
reason he loves cooking as 'every day is a new day'.
