Rare Fare is a small butchery and delicatessan located in the heart of Papanui. We are dedicated to supporting the small producers and growers of New Zealand. All of our products are chosen for their outstanding quality and flavour.The staff at Rare Fare are experienced chefs, butchers and foodies ready to answer any cookery question or provide you with helpful suggestions. Along with our fabulous selection of Meat(farmed and wild), Akaroa Salmon, condiments and wine we also have an extensive range of ready made meals made onsite by our talented chefs. Our extensive selection of smallgoods are produced offsite by award winning Ashby's Butchery.

Our site will run from site 71 - 75 with the following fabulous suppliers: Addmore Elderflower Products, Cec's Muesli, Clevedon Valley Buffalo company, Provisions, Barrys Bay cheese, The Nuthouse, Mowbray pork pies, Heilala Vanilla, Orcona Chillis & Peppers make sure to set aside plenty of time to visit us & sample some of New Zealands best.
