Nici Wickes is a TV Chef, food writer and restaurant critic for Viva, NZ Herald. She is all about great food – she travels for it, writes about it and eats it but more than anything, she enjoys sharing her love of cooking with others. Her fervent mission is to get New Zealanders cooking more.
Her hugely popular travel and cooking show World Kitchen is now in its fifth series and now screens in Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Australia. Nici’s style can be summed up as "cooking without the fuss or stress", showing audiences how to adapt recipes from far flung countries to their own kitchens at home.
When not filming or writing, Nici spends her time presenting and cooking at food and cultural festivals and events in NZ and overseas, encouraging teenagers to cook through her ‘Cooking for Confidence’ holiday programme as well as surfing, mountain biking and doing yoga to calm down! She reads recipe books and newspapers.
