Neudorf Dairy produces award-winning sheep
cheeses in the beautiful Neudorf Valley near Nelson
on land farmed and owned by the Beuke family since
the 1860’s. Originally settled mainly by German
immigrants it’s an area that is known for the artisan
food-producers who farm and work here, as well as
the highly-regarded Neudorf Vineyard.
Cheese making is an ancient craft. The cheeses we
produce are carefully hand-made using age-old
traditional European techniques and recipes in a
purpose-built state-of-the-art facility. The sheep are
milked next to the dairy and are raised on our farm.
Our cheesemaker, Fiona Guyan, honed her craft
in Italy, France and Germany and is passionate
about sheep milk cheeses and yoghurt. For over six
years Neudorf Dairy has produced award-winning
cheeses. The cheeses continue to
win awards and passionate followers, as chefs and
home cooks throughout New Zealand discover the
wonderful sheep cheese from Neudorf.
