Mills Reef Wines are produced from superior grapes grown in the Hawke's Bay region, they are hand crafted by our winemaking team in Tauranga, New Zealand, employing 100% sustainable practices throughout the winemaking process, from vine to glass.

Mills Reef Winery is one of New Zealand’s leading Gimblett Gravels producers, having won over 650 medals and 17 trophies in national and international competitions, along with being twice recipient of the prestigious New Zealand Winemaker of the Year Award.

Elspeth represents our top tier of wines produced from our own vineyards in the Gimblett Gravels, Hawke's Bay. The fruit is hand-picked and only under the Elspeth label when fruit is of exceptional quality. Our winemaking team share the philosophy of a hands-on, no expense spared approach to produce these fine award winning wines. The range is limited to chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux style reds.

Reserve wines are from low-yielding vines producing superior grapes showing intense fruit flavours and pure varietal expression. The winemaking philosophy is to achieve “balance” of flavour, structure and texture.
