As well as being the current runner up for MasterChef NZ Series 2, Jax is an inspirational cook, who loves to blend a little ‘cockney’ with a little Caribbean all served up on a kiwi plate!

Hailing from London with a Jamaican background, you can guarantee whatever Jax prepares for you, whether breakfast, brunch or a BBQ, it will be guaranteed to put a smile on your face, have a spicy flair and will never disappoint your taste buds.

Known particularly for creating dishes that maintain the integrity of the ingredient and preparing food that is easy to emulate, her dishes always allow for a bucket load of creativity and Jax is most happy when she can present a dish which is recognisable from its original pure existence, maintaining the integrity of the produce.

Her inspirations are Ray McVinnie, Donna Hay, Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsey and the ever alchemist and Fat Duck himself, Heston Bluenthal!

Sourcing ingredients from her local Canterbury community, you will always find Jax in the kitchen at parties!
