Devon Olives – 100% NZ Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Devon Olives is a family owned and operated business. We own 10 hectares of NZ Native Bush and approximately 1300 olive trees which is part of the “Ocean View Olive Estate” in the Far North of New Zealand. We are situated between the Oruaiti River and picturesque Mangonui Harbour, and enjoy a coastal climate with free draining mineral rich soils. Ocean View Olive Estate comprises some 20,000 olive trees on 40 groves with about 30 individual owners some of whom, with us, also share ownership of a commercial olive press.

Devon Olives grows 4 cultivars or varieties of olive tree with different characteristics;

Koroneiki - is a small olive grown exclusively for the excellent fresh, cut grass tasting olive oil, a favourite with fish or salads and for dipping.

J5 - is a medium sized olive, grown for oil or for pickling. The oil is full bodied, buttery and can have quite a robust taste.

Frantoio - is a medium sized olive with a distinctive rich but mellow taste and often a peppery after taste.

Leccino - is quite a large black olive suitable for both oil and as a table olive. It generally has a robust taste with a fine peppery finish.

Devon Olives produces multiple varieties of extra virgin olive oil, olive oil infusions, olive oil soaps and dukkah.
