Barilla, Italy’s number one pasta brand is showcasing their new, quadruple sized stand at this year’s Auckland Food Show on Friday, 28th July to Sunday, 31st July. The fantastic custom built area will encourage families and friends to participate in the ‘Barilla Experience’ by offering live cooking demonstrations, audience participation in cook offs, free sampling and great value take home hampers.

Barilla will be exhibiting and demonstrating their delicious pasta sauces, which are made from fresh, natural ingredients, have no added preservatives and are made to authentic Italian recipes. The exquisite tasting Pesti (which is plural for Pesto) will also be showcased, and are ideal for dips and marinades as well as pasta.

Barilla’s Executive Chef, Luca Ciano, is hosting FREE ‘Master Class Demonstrations’ showcasing delicious pasta recipes, using the unique Barilla sauces. He will share his passion for superb Italian cuisine and enlighten guests on how to create diverse Italian meals which can be easily and quickly replicated at home.

The new live kitchen will host daily, interactive and engaging ‘cook-offs’ encouraging the audience to participate. Barilla will invite three guests to sign up and compete against each other by re-creating one of Luca’s signature dishes. The audience are invited to sample and vote for their favourite dish.

Barilla is offering all visitors the chance to purchase a gourmet take-home hamper pack filled with delicious Barilla goodies which will be seen in the demonstrations and recipes. The hampers will also contain two passes to a cooking class, to be held in Auckland by one of Barilla’s Chefs. Normally valued at over $140, they will be selling for only $15.00.
